Wow! What a weekend!

We nearly had a full house at Sand Point and the buyers did an excellent job of plying their craft teaching antique dealers what to buy. They do this by buying what we sell. In addition, sell we did this weekend at the Old Sand Point Naval Station in Hangar 30.

Cash flowed in all directions as buyer after buyer lugged furniture and smalls out the door and came back repeatedly. One booth nearly sold out everything.

Anita and I want to thank all of the dealers and all of the buyers for helping make this one Sunday, December 6th at Sand Point the best sale we have had for two years. The show looked beautiful. I know because personality after personality came to me thanking us for making this show possible.

More notes about the loss of Sand Point

Dennis, this is sad news indeed.

You have fought so long, ans so hard, and given so much of yourself to the antique & vintage industry in the Northwest. . . it is just so unfair that circumstances beyound your control are ending it all. Believe me, I know how that feels!

What I WILL say is that we never know where a road is going to lead.

I know you have a psssion for antiques, for history, and for the dealers who make up our local circuit. What I nor you can't see yet is that this road will certainly bring you an opprotunity for something completely different in the future, another way to be involved with something you are so knowledgeable and passionate about. People like you do not fade into the sunset, Dennis! You have too much to share, to say, to bring to life. Your writing is so engaging and educational - perhaps that is something you can pursue? You could even write a fiction book based on the intricate and dark inner workings of the Northwest antique industry!!!
Whatever you do, I know you will always exhibit the shining and fun-loving spirit you always have (even if this battle with the city has knocked the wind out of you right now). You will rise like the Phoenix you describe above.
Thanki you, Dennis, brom both Bob and I, for the opporutinities that you gave to us and RETREAT to be part of the Sand Point Antique & Vintage Market's venerable history. We are so proud to have been able to participate, to get to know the other dealers, and you. It was an invaluable step in our growth of our business and our brand image to have been part of it, and we thank you you for that. I know I speak for the entire local industry when I say that you are a treasured part of our success and our history, and we owe you a debt of tratitude for all that you have done.
Many blessing to you and Anita, as you move forward to a new phase in life. I wish you both happyness, peach, and success in whatever you do next...

Well that is sad unfair and typical. What about Lake City community center? Or some other place in Magnuson. Or a petition or letters to the paper?
